Damage Surveys

Inspections conducted after vessel damage are important to assess the damage, rebuild or repair the vessel, and restore it to a safe condition.

These inspections are carried out by our team of Naval Architects – Marine Surveyors and may include the following:

The surveyor assesses the damage to the vessel and determines the extent of the damage, the probable cause, and the reconstruction or repair plan.

The condition of the ship’s structural components is checked, including the hull, beams, masts, and other structural components.

Based on the findings of the assessment, the plan for the rebuild or repair of the vessel is determined and the corresponding budget is prepared.

After the rebuild or repair, the inspector checks the quality of the work and the resistance of the vessel to the inspection.

If the boat meets the safety requirements after the repair, the corresponding safety certificates are issued by the inspector.

In summary, post-damage inspections of the vessel are essential to its repair and return to safe operation.
